Many magical and non-magical substances have been catalogued by the scholary and the Nocturne of Mourninghiem. Many base metals and simple minerals exist in the realm; iron, steel, coal, plants, etc... but some items are much more interesting than others. the list presented below is a collection of the most useful, most bizarre, and most culturally relevant to the creatures of the realm.

Scalapyrus Plant by SabreMushy

 SCALAPYRUS

This is a plant commonly found in Southern Anderia. It grows wild from the coastal regions of Candahall all the way down to Terrasota on the eastern shore. Scalapyrus plants are famous for their hard leaves, which are strong enough to stop most non magical weapons in the realm. Many species favour these plants as a means of creating light weight body armor. The scales are also used for tools such as shovels and trowels due to their spade-like shape.

Infinyl by SabreMushy

 INFINYL

Infinyl was once used as the symbol on the Imperi empire when they became the rulers of the original city of Infinium. When the Rabbit King took the throne this symbol of power and wealth was replaced with a brand of Sil'dara, the world tree. Infinyl is an important fiberous flower that grows across the plains of North and South Anderia, where it paints the lush green fields a deep sea of purple and pink. Infinyl is farmed and used to create clothing. It is soft and silky to the touch, and very comfortable to wear in any weather. Most clothes in Asteros are today made from Infinyl.

Embercoal by SabreMushy

EMBERCOAL

While coal is commonly found across the immortal realm and beyond, a special more potent version of the resource exists that has replaced it in major market and military environments. Embercoal is created as a result of destroying an Embertree in the Emberwood near Infinium. It is a by-product of the explosive nature of the trees in that place. Embercoal burns longer than regular coals, it also burns cleaner. Embercoal is also unique in that it retains the explosive nature of the trees themselves, and as such requires very little heat to combust and produce energy. This has made it a popular resource in Bellowmere and Talis where smiths and cooks use them on a regular basis.

Bright Elementium by SabreMushy Air Elementium by SabreMushy Fire Elementium by SabreMushy Ice Elementium by SabreMushy Shadow Elementium by SabreMushy

 ELEMENTIUM

While it is classified as a metal, Elementium is in fact actually a form of magical clay that can be found just about everywhere that water exists. This mysterious substance is capable of retaining the physicial element of the area it is found in, and this power can be unlocked through magical practice. Elementium is most commonly used as a means of creating magical weapons and armor, as its properties make it magically conductive and easily molded into any form. When fired in a kiln, Elementium becomes hard as stone despite the elemental properties, making it both potent and durable.

barbarium Ore by SabreMushy

BARBARIUM

Barbarium is a rare ore that is found in the cliffs of lover's reach and the northern parts of Enteros. It is not often used by the creatures of the realm because of the fact that it is the hardest substance ever discovered. The only thing that can break Barbarium is Barbarium, and once forged it becomes immune even to itself. The only way to harvest and mold barbarium is to find a naturally sharp piece of barbarium naturally occurring in nature, and then use it to cut and shape other pieces of the material. This makes making barbarium weapons and armor extremely difficult. Weapons do exist that are made from the element, but don't expect them to be cheap, barbarium weapons may last forever, but you will also be paying for them just as long.

Carbos Tree by SabreMushy

CARBOS TREE

Carbos trees grow in the deserts of Ungarth'Erani where the soil is dense and dry. The Carbos tree requires very little water and survives mostly on sunlight alone. These trees allow themselves to be burnt to a crisp in their effort to absorb more sunlight. Carbos trees are made almost entirely from raw carbon, and appear to be completely dead. This left them largely undisturbed until a use was eventually found for the trees. They are now used to filter water and process chemicals, as well as being a common cleansing agent used in alchemy. chunks of carbos can also be used to filter toxins from the air and are often used in gas masks and protective facial equipment for tinkers and engineers.

Endo Tree by SabreMushy

 ENDO TREE

Endo Trees are bamboo-like trees that grow all across Enteros. These trees don't have roots, instead they collect rain water in their hollow, water-proof cores. Endo wood is primarly used for its hardness and its weather resistant properties. Cut in half, the wood of an Endo tree makes effective roofing. They are also used as high quality hilt and stock material for weapons. Endo wood is very absorbant and as such is highly fire resistant.

Mortanium by SabreMushy

MORTANIUM

Mortanium is the name given to raw Soul Stones which have not yet been carved into a form that can sustain a spirit. It grows in a strange blue moss in the caves north of Asteros. This moss is called Blue Hayge and is used to form the crystal at the center of a finished soul stone. No two soul stones are the same in appearance, but they all equally hold a single undead soul, no more, no less. Soul Stones and Mortanium Crystals are used to channel electricity, create POMO's and many other things.

Titanite Ore by SabreMushy

TITANITE

Titanite is the most pliable of all the magical metals in the immortal realm. As such it is also the most commonly used precious metal. Titanite is famous for its iron hard grey shell, that protects its marvelous blue core. Titanite is also well known for its incredible sharpness. In ancient times, Titanite ore itself was used as a weapon, before anyone even thought of refining it. Titanite weapons never need to be sharpened once shaped and forged, and Titanite armor is resistant to almost any other metal. It is also prized for its beauty, as any item made from it sparkles in a glorious metallic blue.
*Note* The above data is for informational purposes only, and you are not required to spend your hard earned tokens on these items or use them If you don't want to. These are simply for the sake of enhancing your stories and making your equipment sound a lot more interesting :D.

For Example:

Guy 1 - "Hey dude, don't forget to sharpen your sword later."

Guy 2 - "Don't have to dude, its made of Titanite!"

Just for fun really :D thought it would be cool to let you all know what the creatures of the immortal realm use to make items and generally survive.
